Senior Business Attorney

Hahn & Hahn LLP provides a unique opportunity for business lawyers to have a significant impact and provide tremendous value for clients, C-Suite executives and the boards with which they work – well beyond the narrow scope of a highly specialized corporate, finance or real estate practice. Many of our business lawyers serve in the role of outside general counsel for various privately held company clients. We advise on myriad business issues, from the day to day to the strategic, from capital markets to financing, from business structuring to crisis management, from collegial business startups to dysfunctional equity ownership, and everything in between. We structure, negotiate and document complex transactions for public and private companies, families and individuals. Our clients range from startups to multi-generational enterprises to long time institutional businesses, across the industry landscape, including operating businesses and business owners in the tech, manufacturing, healthcare, retail, restaurants, fitness, and professional services sectors; real property owners, operators, investors, developers, contractors and managers; institutional and private lenders; non-profit entities; and community stakeholders.

We are currently seeking a senior business attorney to join our business practice group. The successful candidate will be a dynamic attorney with at least 10 years of sophisticated transactional business experience in two or more of our practice area skills sets, and a desire and aptitude to become proficient in other aspects of our business practice. By way of example, our practice includes business entity structuring and formation, capital structures, capital and financing transactions, corporate and entity governance, general business advice and counsel, mergers and acquisitions, partnerships and affiliations, land use planning, property tax planning, real estate and personal property leasing, commercial and residential real estate transactions and projects, exempt securities transactions and structuring and negotiating complex agreements and other business arrangements. Our work includes assisting partnerships and private companies manage through and resolve partner, shareholder and/or board conflicts and disputes and myriad other business disputes. Base salary will be commensurate with experience, and ranges from $200,000 to $300,000 for this position. Lawyers are able to work a hybrid schedule, meaning a mix of days in the office and remote work days. Senior Litigation Associate

We currently have a mid-level litigation associate position available, and we are seeking a highly motivated attorney with 5+ years of active litigation experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10 years of demonstrated experience in all phases of litigation, including research and analysis, drafting and responding to discovery, use of an e-discovery management system, taking and defending depositions, negotiations, court appearances, and strong writing and communication skills. Our litigation practice group brings and defends matters litigated in a wide variety of practice areas, such as commercial, real estate, employment, personal injury, trust and estates, and family law. We are seeking a lawyer with a passion for advocacy, and a desire to learn, grow, and assume more responsibility. Base salary for this position is commensurate with experience and ranges from $165,000 to $200,000 for an associate position. Lawyers are able to work a flex-remote schedule.

Land Use Attorney

Hahn & Hahn LLP seeks a highly qualified attorney with 5+ years of active land use experience to join our team. We advise for-profit and non-profit entities, developers, property owners, and community stakeholders on all aspects of their land use, real estate, and environmental compliance needs. Our firm’s deep ties in Southern California allow us to work collaboratively with local and state agencies to achieve our clients’ objectives efficiently and effectively. We seek an outgoing, dynamic lawyer with a passion for advocacy and substantial experience with all aspects of land use practice, including local general plans, zoning codes, historic preservation ordinances, and housing regulations, and state laws including CEQA and the Subdivision Map Act. Base salary is commensurate with experience and ranges from $165,000 to $200,000 for an associate position and from $200,000 to $300,000 for Of Counsel attorneys.

Legal Secretary - Litigation

Successful legal secretary candidates in our litigation department will be proactive contributors with a robust knowledge of court rules and procedures (state, federal and appellate) who enjoy working on fast-paced matters. Core responsibilities for this position include: calendaring via Law Toolbox, preparing and filing documents with the courts (e-filing and fax filing), preparing subpoenas, assisting with document productions, creating shells utilizing the firm’s macros, proofreading documents, scheduling with the various courts and, most importantly, anticipating attorney and case needs. Hahn & Hahn values teamwork and our staff and attorneys work closely together in a highly collaborative and professional environment. This position is available due to an upcoming retirement and transition training will be provided by the retiring secretary.

The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $95,000, depending on experience and credentials. Candidates seeking a salary at the top of the range should have demonstrated litigation experience, a 4-year college degree, and a paralegal certificate or equivalent credential. The firm offers a robust benefits package, including a transportation allowance, full coverage of medical insurance premiums for the individual employee with either Blue Shield or Kaiser, and 401K contributions of up to 8.5% of salary upon meeting plan eligibility.

Paralegal - Corporate and Real Estate

The ideal Corporate and Real Estate Paralegal candidate will have a strong background in general business and / or real estate transactional paralegal work as well as deeper experience in at least one of the following areas: organizational governance documentation; Mergers & Acquisitions; equity offering; secured financing transactions; real estate acquisitions, dispositions and closings; commercial leasing; and title review. Successful candidates will have five or more years of experience, a paralegal certification or equivalent, and a willingness to train in other areas and expand their knowledge across a broad range of transactional work. This is a newly created position and it offers the opportunity to play an important role in growing a respected business practice.

The salary range for this position is up to $110,000, depending on experience and credentials. The firm offers a robust benefits package, including a transportation allowance, full coverage of medical insurance premiums for the individual employee with either Blue Shield or Kaiser, and 401K contributions of up to 8.5% of salary upon meeting plan eligibility.
